The North Shreveport Business Association began in 1987 as the
Agurs Business Association with a goal of reducing crime in the North
Shreveport area.
In 2007, the Association elected to change its name to North Shreveport Business Association. The Association now represents businesses from the Red River to Cross Lake and from the Downtown area to beyond the northern city limits of Shreveport.
As a highly respected business association, our mission is to educate, inform, and provide beneficial services to our members and actively represent, promote and support the business community of North Shreveport.
Working very closely with local and state officials enables the North Shreveport Business Association to leverage the strength of our membership so that we can address issues critical to our business community.
The North Shreveport Business Association is a not for profit membership organization. Membership dues and fundraisers support educational needs in area neighborhood schools, annual activities supporting police, fire, and sheriff departments, legislative advocacy, and much more.
